Service Area Maps
Park Water Company provides domestic water in southeast Los Angeles County through three distinct water systems. These systems are designated as the Compton West Water System, the Compton East (Lynwood) Water System, and the Bellflower/Norwalk Water System. The following picture shows the locations of the three water systems. Following is specific water system information.
Compton West Water System
Its source of supply is provided by three groundwater wells, two potable purchase water connections, and two reservoirs. About 5% of the supply for this system was pumped from the groundwater basin and 95% was purchased through the Central Basin Municipal Water District who wholesaled potable water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
Compton East Water System
Its source of supply is provided by two groundwater wells, one potable purchase water connection, and one connection to the Central Basin Municipal Water District (CBMWD) recycle water system. About 6% of the supply for this system was pumped from the groundwater basin, 2% was purchased from the CBMWD Recycle Water System, and 92% was purchased through the CBMWD who wholesaled potable water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
Bellflower/Norwalk Water System
Its source of supply is provided by eight groundwater wells, three potable purchase water connections, one reservoir, and thirty-two connections to the Central Basin Municipal Water District (CBMWD) Recycled Water System. About 15% of the supply for this system was pumped from the groundwater basin, 4% was purchased from the CBMWD Recycled Water System, and 81% was purchased through the CBMWD who wholesaled potable water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
