Job shadowing is an academically motivating activity designed to give kids an up-close look at the world of work and to answer the age-old question, "Why do I have to learn this?" The students get to see firsthand how the skills learned in school relate to the workplace. The Job Shadow initiative seeks to engage young people in the world of work - allowing students to shadow adults for a day at their place of business - and learn the connection between academics and careers.
